Danielle Borg is a highly skilled Associate working within Coleman Greig's Family Law team.
Having worked exclusively as a Legal Clerk within the firm's Family Law team prior to her admission as a lawyer, Danielle has worked closely with Coleman Greig's numerous Accredited Family Law Specialists, an opportunity that has significantly bolstered her own knowledge and ability with respect to her client work.
Throughout her time as an Associate, Danielle has developed a strong level of experience across a wide range of often-complex family law property matters, including:
- Assisting high net worth clients with complicated financial issues involving trusts and companies;
- The concealment of assets by spouses (often requiring extensive discovery exercises);
- Matters relating to parties receiving gifts and inheritances;
- Matters pertaining to de-facto relationships (including litigation concerning the existence of a de-facto relationship); and
- Spousal maintenance applications.
In addition, she has attained a thorough understanding of parenting matters, including those relating to:
Danielle has also been involved in numerous family law matters involving cross-vested jurisdictional issues, and has a similarly strong level of experience with regard to appeals to the Full Court of the Family Court of Australia.
Whilst she has experience in assisting clients with litigious disputes, Danielle actively encourages parties to settle their matters wherever possible, and to participate in dispute resolution to avoid protracted litigation battles. Danielle recognises the emotional toll that family law matters can have on those involved, and ensures that she remains compassionate, tactful and detail orientated at all times, in order to reduce the level of stress that her clients feel. In turn, she provides her clients with realistic and logical advice, handling all matters with the upmost professionalism.
