Jacob Smith is a valued and dedicated member of Coleman Greig's Family Law team. Combining high professional standards with an empathetic approach, Jacob works collaboratively with clients so that he can achieve the best possible outcome in each matter.
Drawn to family law by a desire to minimise the impact of what is often a stressful time for clients wherever possible, Jacob is committed to keeping clients informed and aware of the intricacies of their respective matter throughout every step of the process.
Jacob is particularly interested in parenting issues, relocation cases, recovery proceedings and de facto matters, as well as property proceedings. He enjoys advocacy and appearing in Court, and finds resolving matters involving children especially rewarding.
Prior to joining our Family Law team, Jacob worked as an Associate to Judge Harman in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia, dealing exclusively in family law.
Jacob has a keen interest in maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the complexities of family law and looks forward to engaging in further studies in the future.
An enthusiastic sportsman, Jacob sits on the Committee of his local rugby club. Committed to nurturing up and coming talent, Jacob regularly spends his spare time coaching younger cricket players.
