Dean Claughton is a Principal Lawyer at Coleman Greig and heads up the firm’s Property Team at our Norwest and Campbelltown-Macarthur offices.
Dean has significant experience and expertise in all aspects of industrial, commercial and retail leasing, acting for landlords in relation to drafting leases, consenting to assignments and negotiating surrenders of leases.
Taking a personal approach is important to Dean, he always focuses on the needs of the client and achieving the best possible outcome. Dean also heads up the firms commercial and residential conveyancing department, where he acts for both vendors and purchasers in helping them buy and sell property across NSW.
His unique experience in buying and selling rural land, including the sale of water licences and subdivided farmland is an asset to many of his clients. Dean is well known in the property sector and regularly presents to other lawyers on all aspects of property law at various workshops and online via webinars. Dean also regularly writes blogs and articles about property law.
In addition to this work, Dean also has a specialty in retirement living agreements and assists the firm’s clients in relation to the Retirement Villages Act and the Aged Care Act.
Away from work, Dean enjoys opening the batting for his local cricket club and spending time with his three little boys.
