About Elizabeth

2021 Doyle's Guides Recommended Law Firm - Wills, Estates & Succession Planning

Elizabeth is a Senior Associate within Coleman Greig’s Taxation Advice team, having joined the firm as part of our 2019 integration with Argyle Lawyers.

Elizabeth has developed a particularly high level of experience and practical knowledge in Taxation, Wills & Estate Planning, Trust Law, Superannuation and SMSF.

With over 6 years’ experience, she has a breadth of knowledge and experience in handling complex taxation issues, which often involve assisting high-net worth clients, business owners, trustees and beneficiaries of trusts. Elizabeth advises her clients on their business and investment structures for payroll tax purposes such as de-grouping applications and payroll tax audits.

From assisting SMSFs acquire property using limited recourse borrowing strategies, to large payroll tax audits, to amending trust deeds for NSW Surcharge Purchaser Duty, to complex estate planning matters involving inter vivos and testamentary trusts, no day is the same.

Tailoring her style to each client, Elizabeth takes the time to understand how her clients process information before explaining and breaking down complex matters. She takes into consideration all assets, interests in trusts, companies, superannuation and businesses which allows her to approach estate planning holistically and devise plans that are tax effective and asset protective for her clients and their beneficiaries. She always takes the time to explain complex estate plans so her clients and their beneficiaries understand the structure and the design of the plan, ensuring it will operate smoothly.

Elizabeth often presents at internal and external seminars and various tax discussion groups around Sydney such as The Tax Institute and Legalwise. She has also written multiple articles for the Australian Shareholder’s Association monthly publication.

Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys cooking and playing touch football.
