Suzanne Lang is a Lawyer in Coleman Greig's Family Law team. She works across all areas of family law, but is particularly interested in complex parenting matters, family violence, alternative dispute resolution and binding financial agreements.
Suzanne recognises that navigating the legal system can be difficult for clients. This is especially true for family matters, where clients' most significant relationships are in the spotlight. Recognising the sensitive nature of her clients' matters, Suzanne develops a relationship of trust and respect so that clients are confident in her ability to advocate for their interests.
Having worked throughout her legal career with clients with varied needs and backgrounds, Suzanne excels at tailoring her communication and legal strategy to best meet her clients' needs. Her overall goal when working with clients is to achieve the best possible result, with the least delay.
Prior to joining Coleman Greig, Suzanne worked as a lawyer at a firm specialising in complex criminal matters, where she acted in criminal defence and in select civil matters. This job required strong emotional intelligence and adaptability, given that often proceedings were highly sensitive, involved public figures and were complicated by factors such as mental illness and family violence.
In her spare time, Suzanne is an avid reader, particularly of the classics. She draws or cooks to unwind and loves curious facts, languages and psychology. She enjoys learning about issues specific to women and the aged community, and she currently volunteers in a social outreach program for isolated elderly Australians. In the future, she hopes to offer her legal expertise and experience to women's legal centres.
