Clas Einberg became a partner with Coleman Greig in 1969 and has played an integral role in the development of the firm. From commercial entities, to Councils, government authorities and individuals and families, Clas has assisted a vast number of our clients over the years, providing expert, professional advice and counsel as required.
Originally practicing in the fields of Commercial and Property Law, Clas was made one of the State's first Accredited Specialists in Property Law in 1984 but has since chosen to focus primarily on Estate Administration and Estate and Business Succession Planning in recent years.
His work in the field of Business Succession Planning has seen Clas become a trusted advisor to many of Coleman Greig's family business clients. Over the years he has assisted these clients with a range of issues, including succession planning and asset protection, and in some instances he is now advising the third and fourth generation owners of the business. Clas is highly regarded for his expertise in this field and in recognition of his contributions to many family businesses he has also been appointed as an Accredited Advisor with Family Business Australia.
Clas works closely with a range of other professionals to ensure Coleman Greig's clients receive the best possible advice, including financial planners, accountants, taxation experts and family lawyers. He has a sound understanding of both commercial needs and the needs of individual clients. In his Estate Administration and Planning practice Clas regularly provides advice on minimising the risk of a challenge to a Will, the potential impact of family law issues on asset protection, and the various taxation implications of Estate Planning, including the benefits of Testamentary Trusts.
At all times, Clas provides professional and pragmatic advice without the 'jargon' and is able to quickly identify the key issues at stake in any situation, then provide the legal tools and strategies required to address those issues.
