Madison Kelly is a lawyer and integral member of Coleman Greig’s Family Law team and works closely with the firm’s Accredited Specialists to assist clients in working through complex separation and relationship breakdowns.
A strong communicator, Madison simplifies the legal process for clients in a logical and straightforward manner, using examples and scenarios to help break down complex information, making her a valuable member of the Family Law team. Madison has worked across the full spectrum of family law and has a particular interest in parenting issues, property matters, divorce applications, financial disclosure, preparing court documents for final hearings and reviewing subpoena material.
Adept at identifying key issues in a matter early on, Madison’s efficient manner ensures that matters are resolved without further impacting what is already an emotional issue for many clients. She is particularly skilled in handling sensitive matters involving domestic violence, drug or alcohol issues.
She first discovered her passion for family law when she volunteered in children’s law and saw the impacts that court proceedings had on both the parents and their children. Madison has experience in dealing with matters where a party has suddenly begun to withhold a child from the other and matters involving significant financial expenditure, which depletes the asset pool. She always ensures all her clients know their rights and what options are available to them.
She enjoys writing about legal topics in plain English so that clients and the wider community can be informed and kept informed with developments and interesting cases in Family Law.
Madison first joined Coleman Greig as a legal clerk. Prior to this, she volunteered in the area of children’s law which gave her insight into the impacts of court proceedings on both parents and their children.
Outside of work, Madison enjoys travelling and playing representative netball.
