Your Family Law team is growing!
The Principals at Coleman Greig are excited to announce the appointment of Adam West, a new Principal in our growing Family Law practice.
An Accredited Specialist, Adam started on 1 March and brings more than a decade of experience in complex family law matters to the firm including property disputes, parenting arrangements and recovery applications.
Adam is experienced in representing clients in a variety of jurisdictions including the Family Court of Australia; the Federal Circuit Court; Local, District and Supreme Courts of New South Wales; and the Social Security Appeals Tribunal.
Formerly of Slater + Gordon Penrith, Adam has previously spent seven years as a Co-Director at Cox West Lawyers in Penrith. He will work out of our two offices in Parramatta-CBD and Norwest Business Park.
Adam’s move cements our Family Law team as a powerful presence in Western Sydney, following our rapid expansion in the last 12 months. Having almost doubled in size from 2015 to become 15 strong, the team boasts three experienced Accredited Specialists.
Adam will be working closely with Malcolm Gittoes-Caesar, Principal and Head of our Family Law team to further strengthen and develop the team.
Malcolm has recently been announced as a Finalist in the Lawyer’s Weekly Partner of the Year Awards in the category of ‘Family Law Partner of the Year’.
The Awards recognise outstanding performance by partners in law firms across a range of categories. The Family Law category is specifically for a “partner (or partner equivalent) who has navigated their client through complex relationships and emotionally charged situations.”
Malcolm resolves the most complicated cases with efficiency and aptitude. A strong communicator, Malcolm breaks down the complexities of matters into easily understandable steps for clients. He is also a passionate mental health advocate and this is evident in his holistic approach to the wellbeing of clients and staff alike.
An Accredited Specialist with over 15 years’ experience in legal practice, Malcolm is a firm believer in professional development. He is a member of the Specialist Accreditation Family Law Advisory Committee, assisting and overseeing other family lawyers in gaining their accreditation. He regularly mentors staff within the firm – from cadets through to fellow lawyers.
Malcolm also assists South West Legal Service pro bono and provides legal advice to women who utilise the services of The Sanctuary, a women’s shelter in The Hills.
Award winners will be announced at a special gala event on Friday, 28 April in Sydney.
