Charity work at Coleman Greig

Coleman Greig undertakes numerous activities every year in support of a range of charities and worthwhile causes. Each different charity we support plays an important role in the lives of many. We feel it is our corporate responsibility to give back by helping them to raise funds and awareness in the Western Sydney community.

Coleman Greig Challenge - Corporate for Community

Coleman Greig has an ongoing commitment to St Gabriel’s School for students with Hearing Impairment and Other Special Needs. We raised over $500,000 for the school between 1996 and 2012 through our Charity Golf Day, in association with the Hills Shire Council.

The Coleman Greig GWS Executive Challenge was established in 2013 and renamed the ‘Coleman Greig Challenge: Corporate for Community’ in 2015 to better reflect the events purpose.

The aim of the Challenge is to provide the corporate sector with a quick, easy and powerful way to show their support for the Western Sydney community. - tapping into the growing awareness of the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and rising the popularity of cycling and running.

In the past three years the event has raised over $200,000 for charities, allowing many in the corporate sector to give back in a way that suits the needs of their business.

Beyond the Square – Get on Stage

Beyond the Square is Riverside Theatres’ dedicated performing arts program for people with a disability. It is the only mainstream theatre company in Australia to have a position dedicated solely to the development of opportunities for people with a disability in the arts.

Riverside has over a ten year history of running workshops for people with a disability. From the beginning of 2011 through the support of ArtsNSW, Riverside has been expanding, developing and strengthening opportunities offered to people with a disability.

Beyond the Square is about working outside the norm, thinking laterally and creatively. It is about embracing difference and challenging preconceptions. The Program works across three broad areas - Community Development, Artistic Development and Outreach

Coleman Greig has helped to raise $216,000 for Beyond the Square over the last five years.
