About Dorota

As a lawyer in Coleman Greig’s Corporate and Commercial Team, Dorota assists a wide range of clients - from SMEs to subsidiaries of multinationals and multinationals - on a variety of commercial issues. Since joining the team in 2009, she has gained considerable experience across a range of industries including manufacturing, construction equipment, medical and consumer goods. She also provides regular and ongoing advice to in-house departments of several national and international companies.

Dorota has particular expertise in the preparation of international contracts, the Competition and Consumer Act and the National Consumer Credit Protection Act. In addition to these, Dorota provides advice and representation in the areas of:
  • Company law and commercial advice
  • Compliance with the corporations law
  • Trade Practices
  • Commercial securities
  • Business acquisitions and disposals
  • Joint ventures and corporate restructures
  • Contract negotiation and documentation of a variety of commercial agreements including; Asset Sale/Purchase Agreement, Hire Agreement, Maintenance Agreements, Share Sale Agreements, Share Buy Back Agreements, Shareholder Agreements, Company Constitutions, Confidentiality Deeds and Trading Terms & Conditions.

Prior to joining Coleman Greig, Dorota worked as a lawyer for a local firm in the area of commercial law. Before that, she managed a fast growing healthcare company in which she held a pivotal role making strategic business decisions and working alongside the managing director. In this position she was also involved in negotiating contracts with suppliers, distributors, possible joint venture partners (pharmacies) and doctors who were keen to join the company as contractors.

Dorota was admitted as a solicitor in August 2008 after completing a Bachelor of Laws and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at University of Technology, Sydney. She is presently undertaking a Masters of Business Law on a part-time basis at the University of Sydney. She is also involved in presenting at seminars in-house for clients and externally on the Competition and Consumer Act and related trade practices issues.
