About Peter
Peter joined Coleman Greig in 1986 with an MA from Otago University, New Zealand and an MBA from Cranfield University in the UK. He has been actively involved in a management role within the firm since that time and was appointed Managing Principal in January 2009 – a role that he still holds. He also supervises the firm’s migration practice.
Since joining the Corporate and Commercial team in 2003, Peter has been responsible for preparing and advising on a wide range of commercial documentation, including share and business sale agreements, manufacturing, distribution and licence agreements. His experience in this area has seen him advising large family-owned operations and subsidiaries of multinationals, and providing strategic legal advice across a range of industries including transport and the heavily regulated pharmacy industry.
Peter has particular expertise in the Personal Property Securities Act and has presented widely on this topic as well as assisting many clients in complying with and taking advantage of the registration provisions in that Act.
