Malcolm Gittoes-Caesar is head of the busy Coleman Greig Family Law Team and a Principal of the firm.
As an Accredited Specialist in Family Law with over 15 years experience, Malcolm has a breadth of experience in a wide range of matters. He has particular expertise in complex parenting matters that often involve high-net worth clients and as a result, complicated financial issues. His experience in drafting Binding Financial Agreements, Child Support Agreements and Consent Orders, as well as with criminal and AVO matters, enables him to resolve the most complicated cases with efficiency and aptitude.
Malcolm prides himself on providing practical solutions and straightforward advice to clients. He is acutely aware of the stress, both financially and emotionally, that family breakdowns can cause to clients and their children. Malcolm’s pragmatic and professional approach, coupled with this understanding, allows him to find the best possible solution for each individual case.
At all times, Malcolm works to resolve disputes without the need for court. He explores all avenues of Alternative Dispute Resolution that may assist in bringing a speedy and beneficial resolution to the matter.
In the event that litigation is unavoidable, Malcolm is highly experienced in representing clients in the Family Court, Federal Circuit Court as well as Local and District Courts. As a result of this experience, Malcolm is well regarded and respected by the judiciary and other members of the legal profession.
Malcolm is a captivating presenter who has lectured at the University of Sydney and Western Sydney University. He also has given presentations within the legal profession in relation to many aspects of family law.
Malcolm is a member of the Specialist Accreditation Family Law Advisory Committee, which is charged with the responsibility of assisting and overseeing other family lawyers in gaining their accreditation.
In addition, Malcolm assists South West Legal Service pro bono and provides legal advice to women who utilise the services of The Sanctuary, a women’s shelter in The Hills. He is also MC of the Coleman Greig Challenge, assisting in raising funds for children with special needs.
