- Building and construction litigation (both commercial and residential)
Hadi prides himself on developing strong relationships with his clients, based on clear and effective communication. He delivers down-to-earth solutions based on practical experience and sound legal knowledge.
Commercially driven, Hadi ensures that he explores all pre-Court dispute resolution strategies with clients such as mediation, arbitration and other forms of alternate dispute resolution. Where litigation is necessary, Hadi has expertise in litigating matters in the Supreme Courts of various states and the Federal Court of Australia, in addition to the District and Local Courts.
Recently Hadi played a major role litigating, and ultimately negotiating, a favourable settlement for a multinational software developer who was involved in proceedings in the Supreme Court of New South Wales. Not only was the opposing party’s claim dismissed, the client retained the opposing party as a customer and recommenced the software implementation.
Another case involved acting for a supplier of concrete to a major development in Port Botany, NSW. Hadi successfully resisted the claim and further obtained judgement for the payment of outstanding retention money as well as legal costs against the opposing party.
Always conscious of the importance of staying up to date with the latest legal developments and assisting his clients, Hadi has presented at conferences and Coleman Greig’s breakfast briefings, in addition to contributing to newsletters and magazines on various commercial and litigation topics. He is also a member of both the Law Society of NSW and the NSW Young Lawyers Association.
