Law Firm First to Achieve Silver Partner in Sustainablility

We are proud to announce that Coleman Greig is the first law firm in New South Wales to be recognised for our significant environmental achievement, by attaining Silver partner as a part of the NSW Government Sustainability Advantage Program.

Working with Parramatta City Council, the firm is part of the Parramatta cluster of businesses participating in the NSW Government Sustainability Advantage Program.

The program is designed to work with businesses to better understand sustainability and to provide a clear path to improved environmental and business performance.

Over the past 12 months we have reduced our paper consumption by 22% and through a virtualised server project, reduced our number of servers from 19 down to 5 reducing our electricity consumption.

The firm has also developed legal services related to sustainability issues including the delivery of a seminar to our clients on green marketing issues. We have also educated and lobbied building management to obtain $500,000 from the Green Building Fund to improve air conditioning delivery and energy consumption.

According to Managing Principal Peter Stewart, “Coleman Greig is committed to building upon our sustainability. Our core values are People, Purpose, Vision and Community. We certainly feel a sense of responsibility to our clients, staff and the community to become more environmentally conscious in all aspects of our business.“

The firm will be recognised as a Silver Partner at the Sustainability Advantage Recognition Event at Doltone House to be held on Friday 3rd June.
